Soft spot and Bumps in Roof

I have a soft spot and an area around it that is very bumpy....as best I can describe it. There was damage to the roof at one point that was repaired- I've since covered the patch with Eternabond and sealed the edges with dicor sealant to make sure that it's sealed BUT but bumpy area has continued to grow out from this spot of damage. I'm not seeing any holes/tears/rips in the rubber of the roof...But Am I missing something? What could be causing the bumps in the roof? It almost feels like the OSB is coming undone under the rubber.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Sounds like the OSB was compromised before it was sealed. Perhaps dry rot?

Tell me more about dry rot- Meaning I could potentially not have moisture under there? Could it cause the OSB to come apart like that? I'll try to get a photo later today.

Dry Rot is a fungus that destroys the strength integrity of wood

So if I'm understanding this correctly this would continue to destroy the OSB even if it is dry underneath? Is there any remediation available other than replacing the wood?

It's possible. Active dry rot keeps rotting. You'll have to research solutions. I've seen products that can stop further dry rot. Most likely any fix will require opening up the roof to expose the damage and repair/replace.

I'm not saying that it is dry rot. But it is a good posibility. It's also possible that moisture has broken down the glue in the OSB and weakened it creating a soft spot. I don't know if that's supposed to be water proof or not. Either way, the only way I can see to fix it is to do surgery on the roof.
