My old TT had an automatic propane switchover valve. I can't tell if this new one does. Does anyone know?

It has a selector at the top. Not sure if in the middle is automatic or not.
But i would suggest againt automatic. Thats a good way to be left without any propane at 2:00am.

Yes that is an auto switchover regulator.

Top knob will point to the cylinder your drawing from. “Window” is green when propane is present in that cylinder. It will be red when that cylinder is empty and drawing off the other one.

Only works when BOTH cylinders are open.

Is it possible that one side of the regulator doesn’t work? I set up two full tanks yesterday, but noticed that when using the right side tank, the furnace wouldn’t seem to get warm. The blower would shut off after a couple minutes and not run again, but when switched to the left tank, the furnace operated perfectly.

Try removing the pigtail from the cylinder that WON'T flow. leave it off for a few minutes. then with the cylinder OFF, re attach the pigtail, open the cylinder SLOWLY and see if that fixes it.

This is just a "rule-out" question but sometimes the simplest of issues is overlooked. Are you sure that both tanks were turned on?

Thanks for checking though. I’m going to try Chuckster’s suggestion and report back.

Well, removed hose from tank and regulator, put it back on after a few minutes, reattached everything, then tried an inside stove burner- seems to work ok. Pretty warm day or I would test the furnace.
