So I'm finding in my research that using a reducer sleeve dramatically reduces towing capacity by 50%. Which IMO seems like a lot. So here's what I have, my TV is a Ram 2500 with a 2 1/2" receiver. I'm trying to find a decent WDH with sway control that will fit my setup without using a sleeve. I'm finding most setups are for the standard 2". My tongue weight is 670 according to Keystone. Side note is that number with or without freshwater? I'm assuming with. My trailer (picking up tomorrow yeah!!) is a 2007 Laredo 284BHS. Thanks all for the input!

Your "Keystone listed tongue weight" is the empty trailer with propane tanks (no propane) and no battery. Keep in mind that the "brochure/website" weight is an average (no water or holding tank fluids) for all trailers produced in that model. Adding optional equipment, whether it's an air conditioner to the roof, changing a dinette to a table/chairs, installing a spare tire on the rear bumper (that's not standard equipment) will all change the "advertised tongue weight".
So, when you pick up your trailer with an "advertised tongue weight" of 670 pounds, the dealer will be adding 60 pounds of propane (two 30 pound bottles) plus a 50 pound battery, battery box and tie down strap/bracket. To that, you'll need to add the weight of your hitch/weight distribution bars, brackets, etc. That will give you the actual weight that your "individual" trailer tongue puts on your "individual" truck receiver.
Each and every trailer tongue will weigh differently. You can expect to see 200-400 pounds more weight than the "advertised brochure" when you're ready for travel. It's possible to see substantially more than that, depending on how you load your cargo, what you carry and even the "nose up/nose down" attitude of your hitch height.
It's a good idea, once you do get ready to travel, with the trailer loaded, to stop by a CAT scale and verify what you "think" vs what's "real".... Many people are very surprised at the "reality" of what they're towing.

Equalizer makes a 2 1/2" hitch for your receiver. I would suggest getting it with at least the 1000 lb hitch. I suspect you will find that your 670 dry tongue weight will be more like 900 (+) when loaded for travel. They also make 800, 1200 and 1400 lb hitches if I recall.

Look at Curt Mfg. weight Distribution hitch shank #17128. I believe that will take care of your problem of needing a reducer. Very heavy duty.

I'm actually looking to buy a better system myself and it's all in the fine print. Like you, I have a 2 1/2" receiver on my new truck and I really want a 2 1/2" shank. Some offer it, some say "it'll fit" and give you a sleeve. Do plenty of research and be sure that when the package is delivered it's what you want. I've found that the manufacturer websites are good, but Etrailer.Com has some great videos also. Equalizer even has a shank selection calculator that's pretty neat.

I have a Husky Centerline, once I learned the proper connect/disconnect it is easy peazy. I found that the Husky is very good. Very happy. Would purchase the same unit again. I am sure that there are others that do as well.

We bought a 2015 Cougar 27rlswe and matched it to a Blue Ox Sway Pro. It's an excellent combination and is easy to use/maintain.

If no one mentioned propride already, I would look into them. I bought one 3 years ago and it's great. Expensive, yes. But there isn't anything better for wdh and sway control.

That is the one I am leaning towards.
No use wasting money on cheaper ones when in the end I know I'll end up with the ProPride 3P anyway!

Don't forget about the original orange sway elimination hitch, the Hensley Arrow. I own one and I wouldn't tow anything 30 feet or more without one. Worth every dollar spent on it.

Yeah, either is great, propride is adjustable, Hensley isn't. I just got a new truck, adjustment done in 10 minutes and on my way.

I didn't forget about the Hensley but with the price being so close to the ProPride 3P and it being adjustable I figure just go ahead and get the ProPride.

I have the Blue Ox, with 1500 lbs bars, works great with my set-up. Actually set the hitch up myself and was easy to do following instructions. After some trial and error, found using 9 links was my best overall set.

I too use 9 links on my blue ox with 1500 lb bars. this gives me the least amount of porpoise on my Ram 2500.
But this hitch is by no means quiet, it creaks and groans more than my ex-wife
