238ml bike carrier options

I'm looking to add a bike carrier to my TT. There is no rear bumper on my model but there is a spare tire mounted to the back. Has anyone had experience with removing the spare and using the bracket to hold anything? I know there is no real support in the back wall of these trailers

You'll need to find a welding and fabrication shop that can build extensions off the frame rails and weld on a receiver hitch. I wouldn't even consider using any existing mount as the structural support just isn't there. I had a receiver hitch welded to the frame on my 35 foot Bullet and pulled it 500 miles this past week loaded with a bike rack and bikes. It performed perfect.

You might consider a rack over the propane tanks. I've seen several of these in CGs recently.

+1

As a former 238ML owner, there's no way I'd put a bike rack where the spare is.

Another alternative I've seen is making a rack in the dinette area using fork mounts.

Thanks guys. I figured the tire wasn't a good idea.
