Dinette Lamp Bulb

I have a 2012 Keystone Bullet 29RTPR and am in the process of replacing all of the incandescent bulbs with LED ones. However I'm having a hard time locating a replacement bulb for the lamp over the dinette.

I was following this thread and saw that they referenced an 1142 Bulb so I purchased this bulb however it doesn't seem to work. Either the bulbs were defective or I didn't get the right ones.

Anyone else successfully get this changes over?

Thanks,

Jeff

Jeff,
The LED assembly is "polarity sensitive". That means the POS and the NEG must be connected to the correct "button" on the base or the LED's won't illuminate. Take the assembly out, turn it around 180 degrees and reinstall it. It should work then.

I suppose there is a slight possibility that the entire LED assembly is bad, but that's unlikely. Just turn it around and see if it works. Some members have had problems with the "buttons" being too tall and the assembly not twisting into the socket properly, if that's the situation, just use some sand paper (or your favorite section of sidewalk) and rub the "buttons" over the rough surface. They will "sand away" the excess so the assembly will twist into the socket properly.

Good Luck.

Jeff,
Look inside the socket. If there are 2 contacts then the bulb that you showed should work either way. If it only has 1 contact then you have the wrong bulb. I did the same thing until I looked in the socket and then discovered I blew the fuse.

I forgot, if it is a single contact it is an 1156/1141 bulb.
I used the bulb from m4 products:
