Blue Ox questions

Still looking at hitches.

Who has a Blue Ox SwayPro and what do you think of it?

Also, the weight jumps from 10K to 15K. When looking at the Equal-i-zer I was looking at 12K. Seems like quite a jump to 15K. Do the stronger bars make for a rougher ride? I've got about 900 lbs of tongue weight and may carry fuel cans and a Honda 2000i generator behind the wheels of the truck which is why I was thinking 12K.

I kinda like the look of the Blue Ox as it seems cleaner with no exposed grease points etc.

I have the old version of the sway pro with snap up latches vs the new rotating style. with the 1500lb bars. I have a 2013 lareado 303tg 36ft trailer with a little over 1000lbs of tongue weight not counting the hitch and what ever is in the box. It works great. nice and quiet and no sway at freeway speeds and passing trucks. I am not sure why its not more popular.

I also have the older version. I pull a 2014 30 REPR Premier. I have the 1000 lb bars and it tows very nicely. The local rv guy suggests that when you get the bars, get whatever is closest to your hitch weight plus about 30 %.

Love my SwayPro. Have used it on 2 different trailers and 3 different tow vehicles.
Currently pulling a 31SQB using 1500# bars. Rides smooth.

My $0.02

I bought a swaypro for my new 230BHS. Bought the 550# bars. We are on our shake down trip as I write this reply. I will say this, I am going to have to buy a set of 750# bars. Not to say that the 150 Mile ride was horrible, but it could have been better.

Well, that was helpful. Only guy there who had heard of it had no idea on the WD setup and was just selling the towbars and brake systems.

Think that's the last time for me to that show unless I am looking to get a new trailer. No parts displays to speak of.

Emailed the company. Hopefully I hear back. Never did hear back from the Equal-i-zer guys.
