Spare tire cover

Mine apparently blew off between Fredericksburg and the NC state line.
I checked it after my safety stop 50 miles from the house and it was on there. I never seem tight like on vehicles I've owned with outside spares, put it want Fallon off either. Anyone had this issue? I'm going to call the dealer on Monday.

If you spend as many hours as I have driving on the freeways/highways and look around you will see them along with propane covers, vent covers, truck bed linners, etc., along the road or on it, it happens.

Lost our tire cover somewhere outside of Del Rio, TX a couple of years ago... didn't replace it since "the wind" is a common occurance where we live/travel.

When mine blew away I moved my spare from the bumper to under the front of the trailer on a winch. It's the exact setup as my TV so I already have the tools onboard.

Did you buy a kit or rig one up? I'm going to get the factory rack reengineered with some stronger weld/bracing. A it has is the spare and its vibrating bad enough the sewer house caps keep coming loose. Almost lost them as well.

We haven't lost ours yet, but I'm looking for a hard plastic spare cover. The vinyl isn't long for this world...

Drove our new 319RLS home from the dealer (60) miles and when we arrived the cover was halfway up the tire but hadn't blown off completely. Inspecting it I found that the elastic was not any good (new trailer). I threw it away and ordered a new cover from Besttop to fit the tire. I have used them on my Jeep and the current one is 8 years old and still looks new and the elastic feels the same. I mentioned the spare cover to the dealership as a warranty issue and his general demeanor told me I would be far happier just buying one myself. I am currently dealing with Keystone over other issues and to say their warranty process is backward is an understatement.

Built my own. Used a winch similar to my TV so I already had the tools onboard. Here is the thread:
