Filling Gaps in Hybrid Bed

All,

I have just purchased a 2013 Keystone Passport 190EXP. This hybrid has 2 fold down queen side beds. When folded down, there is a 4-5 inch gap between the fold down and the storage bench inside the trailer. When I lay down on the mattress in this area, the metal jabs me in the back. The trailer comes with vinyl with velcro to bridge the gap, but it does not work.

Has anyone else had this issue? How have you solved? I was thinking about using 2x4 and 2x6 cut down to fill the gap in.

tschusted, Howdy;

Have you asked your dealer or a reputable repair
shop if this is "supposed to be like that"?
Maybe a warranty fix...

Stuff a beach noodle in the gap. I use a noodle between the mattress where it meets the head board to push the mattress out little to give me a little more length so my feet don`t hang over the edge. I would imagine a noodle would fill the gap your talking about and it`s light weight and flexible for easy storage. Just a thought

We always used pool noodles in the spaces that had a gap. All around the tent end and it helped keep breezes out too!
