Recently purchased 2018 Cougar Half Ton. Loving it! Because is was purchased used and the rough coat finish on the front is faded can anyone suggest a way to bring it back to its original color. I'm hoping the following is a link to an image showing the area in question.

Might want to post under trailers? I have never seen a trailer cap with a rough finish. Are you talking Faded? Welcome from northern MN.

The only link that opened showed an ad from Midway RVs with some pics of a Cougar. Is that YOUR Cougar? If so those pics don't show much about the condition of the cap. Can you post pics of exactly what you are talking about from your trailer? They had issues with the front caps fading for several years but believe they had remedied that by 2018.

If you’re talking about the upper/white portion of the front cap, it’s automotive grade paint and can be polished to remove oxidation just like a car. If your referring to the lower rock guard portion, which I believe you are since you mentioned “rough”. I believe that is just dyed plastic and it won’t polish up. Hard to polish rock guard as it is. If you want it to be bright and shiny again, I’d probably just mask it off and get a couple cans of gloss black krylon.
