Hardware required to secure Thomas Payne jacknife sofa to floor of RV

Hello all.

I recently ordered a Thomas Payne jacknife sofa to install in my Springdale. I am putting it in place of my dinette. Unfortunately, The sofa and legs do not come with the required hardware to secure it to the floor. I called Thomas Payne directly and they gave me the brush off ("We don't concern ourselves with the installation process"}.

Does anyone know what hardware I will need to secure the legs to the floor?

Thank you and have a great day.

Lars

It's not a sofa like you are getting, but we have the style of sofa that has an air mattress when opened up, and it's in our large slide, and there are no screws holding the sofa in place, but the slide floor is carpeted. No idea what trailer you have or what the flooring material is.

We don’t have our secured and it stays in place. If you want to secure it, just get some L brackets from your local hardware store and short screws. If it’s in a slide, make sure the screws don’t go through the floor and rip the vinyl when the slide is moved.

I'd say the "required hardware" would be NONE! If you feel you may be tossing the heavy piece of furniture throughout the interior on some back country roads a couple L brackets on the front legs or wherever is the easiest to get to with some 1" screws should be more than adequate.
Personally I'd travel a few time BEFORE attaching anything to see how it travels. We had 4 loose dinette chairs, 2 recliners & a couch none of which were attached & never moved more than an inch or two.
