Micro and outlets work, battery not charging
I am plugged in to shore power. The microwave and outlets work but the lights and slide don't work and the battery is not charging. It is a new (last season) battery. The large fuses both look good.
Any ideas what the issue might be?

Welcome to the forum. Some information would help, model and year of your camper? Several things can cause this issue. One is a battery disconnect in the disconnected position. Another could be a bad ground connection between battery and frame.

Thank you! Its a 2012 Sprinter 308BHS
The ground looks good. I need to check the battery disconnect.
EDIT - Is it possible that I don't have a battery disconnect switch? I don't see anything like it between the battery and where the wires go into the coach.

I have had trailers with a battery disconnect located under the bed; you had to lift and it was there... I have had trailers with the battery disconnect near the battery. My current 2002 Cougar 5th wheel has no battery disconnect. Guess what I am saying it is possible that you will have to hunt for a disconnect and it is also possible there is none.
Your 12V isn't working. Obvious thing would be if there is a battery disconnect, it is in the off position. If you can't find it, you will probably be able to find your gas alarm. It also runs on 12V but is hot wired directly to the battery. Find the gas alarm and check to see if it is powered. If memory serves, there is a little light on mine. If your alarm doesn't seem to be working, the battery may be toast OR your converter bad or fuses blown; others have already mentioned the fuses you would need to check. The battery can be checked at an auto parts store; they load test.

Being a 2012 it likely doesn't have a disconnect switch from the factory. I do suspect that the battery cables are white and black. The white is the negative (ground) and the black is the positive. If you even touch them on the wrong terminals the reverse polarity fuses inside will blow. Follow the positive battery cable and you should find a self resetting circuit breaker. It’s a small box about 1" x 2" with two studs. The battery cable connects to one stud then another cable is connected to the other stud. They can and do fail so check for voltage at both posts.

Seems to me that the lights would still work while on shore power whether the battery is connected or not - unless the converter is kaput.

Not if the reverse polarity fuses are blown.

Also, if your battery was allowed to go dead, you should consider replacing it. Flooded Lead/Acid batteries don't take well to being discharged too far. They lose a great deal of their capacity and life.

I had the exact problem and changed the converter. Everything is now working.
