Camera System

I just purchased a Haloview MC7108 for our fifth wheel. Not sure when I will install it; with the weather and work schedule.

It came with one camera but I plan on getting the add on cameras and using them for the side views. My fifth wheel has the prep for Furion on the back and the side lights already.

I am thinking of wiring the right side camera to be used as a security camera when we are inside. My thought is to run a 12v power source to it from inside to turn it on. I'll have to bring the monitor inside when ever we are parked of course. That way if we hear noise or someone knocks on the door we can see who it is on the monitor before opening the door.

I think a couple diodes would prevent the power from back feeding to turn on all the exterior lights. Of course a fuse to protect the power source from inside.

Has anyone tried this yet? If so what did you use?

I'll probably be getting the other two cameras in a couple weeks.
