2021 cougar 26rks

Hello all!

We have a brand new cougar 26rks. Man have we had problems with this unit. Black and grey tank valves not working. Got a total black tank shower! So much fun. Ac air not blowing out of vents. Gray tank loose in the supports. List goes on and on. It’s been in the shop more that at the campground.

New issues. Cold air blowing out of the air conditioning vents in ceiling when heater is on. Fresh water tank won’t fill all the way when trying to fill through overflow vent. Our model doesn’t have a standard open cap fill feature. Anyone have an idea on fixes for these issues? Thank you!

Air blowing from a/c when heater is on... turn fan to auto and it'll stop

Filling FW through vent... stop filling thru vent.
Vent is to allow air to escape from tank while filling... Use fill instructions
Below I've posted the instructions for my trailer but yours should be similar

We're certainly sorry for your troubles. Can you elaborate a little concerning the black/grey valve problems?

You will need to elaborate more on the "problems" you are having and provide how each happened and the circumstances.

As Javi pointed out, your AC "problem" is more than likely the thermostat being set wrong. As for the others it's hard to say without more information.

Most if these problems were resolved through warranty work. I was just venting on the problems we had after purchase. The total lack of caring from camping world and the lack of care other that it will be covered on warranty from Forest River.

Forest River or Keystone?

OK there's the problem. You have been trying to get it fixed under warranty at a Forest River dealer and it's a Keystone.
Seriously Aric, I am just joking. Things that do not work on a brand new TT are more than annoying. I think your experience with Camping World would be dittoed by many on this forum. At least you have come to the right place.
When you have a problem do not hesitate to post here, chances are very good that someone else has already had that problem and knows a way to fix it. And if not, many brains are better at finding a solution.
Welcome to the world of RVing.

Howdy Aric,

So sorry to hear of all the issues you have with a new RV, and we hope you can get sorted out, so you can begin enjoying your camper.

Take care!

Picking Up 29RKS Tomorrow

We'll be taking delivery of our 29RKS tomorrow. I hope we have better luck than you did! We purchased from Holiday World in Katy, TX. We were told to expect 2+ hours for the walk through so I intend on spending every bit of that time inspecting it before we take delivery.
