Evap cleaning

I have the domitic whisper air on our Alpine has anyone cleaned the evaporator. What steps did you take to not get any cleaner inside of the r.v.

You should have filters on the return ducts. That’s the only thing we clean.

Yep I clean them just wondering if the coil itself would require cleaning.

The factory filters are no more than a rock strainer. Lol

Yup, must be larger than pea gravel to stop it. Our ac unit sets close to front door. We camp a lot in the PA farm country and between that and two dogs I'm washing the filter every few days, sometimes blowing it out with air and sometimes washing in warm water as well. Around once every 6 to 8 weeks I use a coil cleaner inside. Don't remember the brand but there several out there. It comes in a spray can, comes out in a foam and does not need to be rinsed. The brand I have has fresh slightly lemon smell as well.
