Two black tank dump valves on 2019 Cougar Half-Tom 26RBSWE?

We're getting ready to take our new 2019 Cougar Half-Ton 26RBSWE out for it's initial trip and during some checking, I noticed there is an extra dump valve which I wasn't shown during the technical walk-through provided by the RV dealer.

This trailer has a rear bathroom (only one toilet in this trailer) and the kitchen is toward the front (just a little front of the half way point of the trailer).

The dump station in the rear of the trailer includes the normal one dump port (to which you connect the dump hose) and two valves, labeled Gray and Black.

However, about half way forward on the same side, there is a second dump port and a single valve. This valve is labeled Black. The plumbing line leading to this second dump port is pretty small (about 1-1/2" or so).

Also, the iN-Command control panel shows 1 black tank and 2 gray tanks.

Based on reading other threads, I'm guessing that with the rear bath and forward (ish) kitchen, we likely have two gray tanks - one for the bathroom and one for the galley.

Is this second dump valve just mis-labeled? Is it really the galley tank dump valve?

Thanks,

,
This would be my guess, that the handle was mislabeled.

HI Mark,
Your guess is spot on. The 1.5" diameter of the pipe is the giveaway. Definitely your grey, galley dump line. The black tank line would be 3"

Yes sir, that would be your galley grey tank. They just labeled it black to add a little excitement to your life.

Thanks. On previous trailers, the valve handles clearly define what they are for. The gray valve used a gray handle and the black valve used a black handle. On this trailer, all the handles are identical (black) and there are just labelmaker-style labels affixed to the exterior of the RV.

Not necessarily!
My current 5er has 3 valves all with black handles, my last 5er also had 3 that were all chrome.
If there's only 1 toilet then there's only 1 black tank, sinks on opposite ends of the rv there's 2 grey tanks.

Sorry, I meant on previous trailers which I've owned.

Yea, I think the guys and gals at keystone assembly do this as a joke.
So both my grey tanks (I have two on mine) have black handles. The one black tank has a grey handle.

And of course the labels stuck to the side of the trailer identify the grey handle as "Black" and the black handle as "Grey" just to complete the joke.

You gotta have a sense of humor if you RV.
