Finding model number

Hello all!
Looking at purchasing a 2006 Cougar TT from a family member. He is clueless as far as what the model number is. Does not have the owners manual. Didn't even know the weight, guessed at the length 32/34 VIN did not help, except saying it was 30' He finally found the plate with the weight anyway. Is there anywhere he is not looking where the model # would be? SN is 068003 WT: L 9,565 UL 7,685. TIA!

Should be on the vin label. Not always easy to see. Maybe post that and we can help. Here’s a pic on mine. If you look, you will see 3500RE included in the info about half way down the label directly below the manufacture date.

There "should be" a model decal located next to the main entry door. There also is a model number listed on the weight certification label located at the roadside front corner of the trailer. On many older trailers, there is also a "weight certificate" that lists the VIN and model information, usually glued to the inside of a closet door in the main bedroom.

There is an older thread on this forum that discusses finding VIN/Model info: https://www.keystoneforums.com/forum...ad.php?t=35954

And, finally, here's some photos of that information

Most states have the model number on the title and license registration card.

Owner manuals are available on the Keystone website. But don’t set your expectations too high; Keystone doesn’t produce a model-specific manual, it is only a one-size-fits-all year by year manual with general information.

Keystone "revamped" their Owner's Manual Archive last year. The oldest manual available on the factory website is 2018. https://www.keystonerv.com/brochures#archive

There are several "non official" websites that have archived owner's manuals from all/most of the RV manufacturers. Here is a link to the 2005 Keystone Owner's Manual. It covers all the brands/models manufactured by Keystone for that year. There are no manuals for any Keystone product, only a "broad, generic manual" that is placed in every owner's packet during assembly. You won't find a 2006 Cougar owner's manual that is specificallyl written for that brand/model trailer. It was never written, never printed, never distributed and never in the hands of any owner. All that was distributed was a single manual that shipped with every brand and every model for that year's production.

Here's the link to the 2005 manual: https://keystone-rv-dealer-app.cdn.p...sed+090105.pdf

Get the VIN and call or email Cougar customer service https://cougargaming.com/us/support/contact/ to obtain the model and buildsheet, if you want that additional information.
