Tire size!
I have a 1996 Fleetwood Storm. P30 chassis. The only info on my existing tires is 8R 19.5 12p. Shouldn't there be a number like 225 or235? I'm usually pretty good at looking things up, but this one stumped me.

On motorhomes, there may be a tire placard on the interior wall towards the bottom by the front seats.

Those are likely the OEM tire sizes and they used inch size before metric. I am not sure but R may mean radial. If you google 8R19.5 there are lots of hits and you likely can still find them but might have to figure out the metric equiv.

You can still purchase that sized tire. They can be found on internet sales places such as eBay/Amazon. Discount tire can get them for you if you have a store nearby. They are a load range tire and are sold with a LRF of LRG, the speed ratings vary from different manufacturers. You should confirm the load range and speed rating found on your tires before purchasing new ones.

Discount Tire refused to service or replace the 19.5" tires on my Isuzu NPR. That was 3 years ago, maybe they've changed their rules? I had to patronize a tire shop specializing in large trucks. Having said that, I have nothing but good things to say about CW for his expert advice he regularly gives on
tire matters!

They most likely don't have a cage to inflate high pressure tires. I've read folks say that DT couldn't inflate trailer tires to 110 or 115 lbs. Some folks think their compressor can't handle it but it's because they don't have a safety cage for inflating tires.

The Discount Tire I use can mount them but charges a hefty premium and then can't inflate beyond 85 psi; because they don't want to fool with resetting the regulator on their compressor.. They do have a safety cage..
They mounted the 17.5 Goodyear G114's I just put on my Avalanche.. but I had to inflate them beyond the 85 psi, when I got them home and before I installed them.

Go to this site https://www.rvusa.com/rv-guide/specs...orm-m2874-b200 and it will show you the tire size for your model, e.g., Storm Floorplan 30SA tire size is 225/70 R19.5F.

I have a total of 6 tires that I bought a while back. I ran four of them on a truck and bought two for spares but sold the truck and kept the 19.5 tires and wheels. Michelin XZE and TOYO M143. Load Range H, 245/70 19.5, 120 PSI if you are interested in them. I had them on a 2015 Chevy with an 8x180 bolt pattern but will separate the tires from the wheels.

8R19.5 Load range F is a good size. Check with truck tire dealer.
your tire is rated for 3,525# @ 110 psi single Load Index of 122
That tire size is an older nomenclature called "Conventional" rather than the "Metric" seen on newer design truck tires but some companies are making the Conventional size tire.
The tire dimensions would be: 6" rim width 8" overall width (about 203mm) 33.8" OD or about 859mm
SimpleTire lists a number of brands with this size. Use Google to learn more.
You may need to find a truck tire dealer with a Safety Cage to do the mounting.
