Roof corner question

So on all for corners of the roof I noticed that the plastic inside the channel is torn. Is this anything worth worrying about? I don't think it was ever intended to be fully sealed but not sure.

That plastic is called screw insert. It’s meant to keep moisture out of the corner molding and the interior of the trailer. It’s cheap enough to replace and yes the end is supposed to be sealed.

Is it also know as a vinyl trim insert? That's what I seem to see searching online.

Yes, that’s another name for it. Comes in 2 widths.

Looks like I need the 1" wide. I'll get it taken care of soon. So far the camper is nice and dry inside even with this issue and I'd like to keep it that way.

If it’s inside you can fix it at your leisure. I can tell you if the insert is cold it’s very stiff and hard to work with. We put a screw through the end to hold it in place and then cover with dicor.

It's outside and it's probably been this way for some time. I'll get it done soon.. probably in the next week or two depending on weekend weather.
