Back in the late 90s discovered this cool new thing called “hotmail” for email. Had to come up with a name to use for our email address - so mikendebbie was hatched. That’s me and DW of 42 yrs.

About Screen Names

I live in Ohio and a huge buckeye fan so that’s where buckeye came from and the xx is from when I used to own a Honda 700xx quad. So the first forum I joined years ago when I had that quad I came up with Buckeyexx. I use it for all forums I join now just to keep it simple and easy.

I love to fish, and love it when the fishing hot.

Fishsizzle, and it’s fun to say, and it’s the name of my boat.

Like others here, I was in the Navy once upon a time. My nickname was Bart since it was the first four letters of my last name. It changed to Badbart after I failed to comply with a minor article of the UCMJ. I took an unauthorized vacation in Galveston, Texas for a few days. I did however manage to make E-5 in less than four years but I missed out on the Good Conduct Medal.

Blackrock is a huge stone massif that sits in the throat of a canyon off to the southwest of my place. Huge and hulking, always changing in the way the light hits it. Sometimes lit like a Cathedral sometimes gray like a Tombstone but always a standout. I call it my Totem as I always glance at it daily and on the way home there it stands welcoming me.

That's so dignified. We also have such a totem out our north windows... but it's a mountain called "Maggie's Nipple."

Now all forums are first and part of last name. MANY years ago (appleII days) id was fine as BlackCockers when we raised them. Many years later started getting questions and complaints. People back when actually knew what it meant. Don't know what happened but it is what it is. Probably one of the only players on poker sites that was allowed to change his name.

Actually, I just realized... it's the mountain peak shown in our Ranch's logo, which is the avatar on our posts.

Used to live in Canmore, Alberta. This was our view.
Name of the mountain was (female native woman and part of her mammary gland). Needles to say our Govt. changed it.

Ha, you brought back a memory. In Army radio school I missed a return flight (while waiting at the airport bar with a buddy) from a weekend pass and arrived back to post late the next morning by bus. Plus I was beyond the distance limit for that pass. Anywho, finished tops in my class and skipped E-3 and got E-4 out of school. Later attended NCO Academy and got E-5 in one year. Couple commendations during my hitch but alas no good conduct medal.
