2013 Raptor 300MP

Howdy. We're looking at a used Raptor 300MP. It appears to be in good cosmetic shape internally, with a couple of quirks externally.

We'll be using it to haul a touring bike, and sometimes a polaris mid-size ranger 570. Would like to eventually snow-bird in it, but will start with a couple of 1-2 week outings.

Any feedback from prior or current 300MP owners welcome!

I had a 2011 and really liked it. Well most of it. The couch sucked really bad. I call it a 30 minute couch. Feels good that long. After my first trip, I removed the entire assembly in the slide and put in 2 swivel rocker recliners. They were "Best" brand petite sizes on hoop type bases. Then I could watch TV straight ahead instead of craning my neck. Stock mattress really poor so off to Sam's Club I went. I carried usually 1 full sized Harley Davidson with no bad issues. I did remove the upper garage bed platform because with the garage sofa installed they were too low to safely ride the bike into the garage. Since I suspect it's single pane windows, I'd suggest some reflective tint film on the windows. Generator was relatively quiet and I was able to stay in rest areas with the generator and air conditioning above my head and sleep just fine. Course 12 hour and 500 mile days helps to.

I stored all the stock parts and reinstalled them when I traded it. I towed it with a 2012 Ram 3500 dually diesel. I wanted lots of truck and had it.

I have a 2010 MP 300 and love it. Like chunker said the couch is garbage as most campers are. we bought a double recliner couch to replace it. Comes out easy. we haul a golf cart in ours ond love the size as it is easier to get into a lot campgrounds easier than the newer toyhaulers that are longer. Pull it with a 2015 f350 single axel.

We bought our 300mp new in Aug of 2013. Overall it has been a great unit for us we have been full timing in it since Jun of 2016. We have made many upgrades and modifications for durability and FT use. Installed our Sleep Number mattress from our S & B. Removed stock couch and installed a reclining love seat and added a table and covered bench for dinette in slide. We removed the lower u shaped seating on the happy jac so we could haul our golf cart in the garage and also added a spendide W/D vented combo. Replaced outside steps with Torklift Glow Step Revolution steps. Replaced locks on doors and compartments with RV Locks. The most important upgrades we made were replacing the suspension with the MORryde 8k Independent Suspension System, adding Disc Brakes and replacing wheels and Tires to Goodyear G114 215 75 R 17.5's. The 16" tires are known for failures, since the upgrade no more issues with tires (was going through a set of tires every 1500 miles!) and we now have a suspension system that can be aligned! We had a hitch custom welded so we can double tow our Jeep Wrangler behind and have also reinforced the frame around the pinbox.

Used to have a 2008 RAM 3500 dually 6spd manual but was over on CGVWR and with the cost of newer PU's with higher towing capacities decided for cost and safety to switch to an HDT truck and now Tow with a 2005 Freightliner Century. (Check out pic in signature)

I would recommend that if you don't have a lot of RV experience to have an RV Inspector look this over before you buy it! Upkeep and routine maintenance are so important especially on all sealed surfaces to keep water out! That would be the most important thing to be careful of in my opinion. Best of luck!

We have a 2013 310TS. Very similar unit, other than a third slide. We camp off the grid once a month and find it easy to sleep with generator running. We scrapped the couch and replace with a recliner style. New mattress. Upgraded tires to "G" rated. Added the Roadmaster Comfort ride suspension (slipper springs with shocks). Added Keyless entry

We're second owners. Not major structural issues.
