Fridge Doesn't Light on Propane

We are new owners and we wanted to hit the road and have the fridge on propane. We have a 328FRK Sydney Outback Fifth Wheel and when we turn on the propane the firdge does not light up immediately..... sometimes it takes overnight for the fridge to finally kick in with propane....

Have had the same issue if so please help us with what we need to do to fix this annoying issue...

If the propane has been off for a while you probably need to purge the air out of the lines. After turning on the propane turn on a stove burner while holding a small flame (as from a BIC barbecue lighter, etc.) until the burner lights. this will purge most of the air out of the system and then your refrigerator should light off within a few minutes.

Can you clarify what you mean by "when we turn on the propane the firdge does not light up immediately..... sometimes it takes overnight for the fridge to finally kick in with propane.... "?

If you mean it does not fire up at all, then it needs to be looked at by a technician, unless as pointed out above, the tanks were just changed and the air needs to be purged out of the propane lines. Firing up a burner on the stove will help speed up that process.

However, if you mean it takes overnight to get down to normal cooling temps, then that is normal. These fridges are not like the ones in our homes. They take 4 to 8 hours to get cold enough for use.

You may find some more information by reviewing the owners manual.

Fridge

Definitely agree with what's already posted, purging after changing is required. Also, you may have to adjust the air mixture, simply a little flap covering a hole behind the outside access panel. Our SRX has worked beautifully, however our last TT was super touchy.... was always playing with the little cover adjustment.
