Dometic Refrigerator Light
So I replaced the bulb in the refrigerator light socket The old bulb was definitely burnt out cause I could see the broken filament. I put the new bulb in and bamb nada , zilch, nothing. It’s the right bulb according to the part number. It matches the old one side by side .
Any ideas . Happy Holidays to all and to all a good light

I have the same issue.
Replaced the bulb and nothing.
Checked power to the socket, the switch and even a second bulb.
I just gave up.

Did you check continuity of the bulb itself? Put meter to ohms, place a lead on the bulb tip and the other on the buld casing.

When my Dometic refer light quit working the bulb was still good. I had to replace the switch to get it to work again.

Check the voltage across the socket. If you don't have 12 volts dc then probably the switch. Also, run probes around each leg of the socket. It might be corroded. With meter on ohms check the bulb.

Check your bulbs with a little multimeter (good thing to have when RVing)
I replaced my bulb with an LED equivalent: brighter, whiter and energy efficient, ideal when dry camping.

Just a thought here.... My light only goes on when the Fridge is running. Is your fridge running?
If it is, then as already stated, check both the bulb, and the door switch with a multi meter.
Good Luck

Yup. We also had an issue with somebody spilling a drop of syrup or juice on the spring finger that the door closes against, causing it not to extend all the way out and make the connection.

If the switch is operating correctly the light is only on when the door is open.

Good Idea! Isn't modern phone technology GREAT!!!!
I even use my I-phone camera to read labels I can't reach, up high or down low! One click, then enlarge the image with a swipe of the fingers. Don't even need my "readers" for this. LOL!
Now if I could only teach it to tie my shoes... (Belly gets in the way this time of year!)
Good Luck
