I could use some reviews
i am looking at a water regulator
http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...ead-free/49512
and i am looking at this water hose i found
http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...ter-hose/58712
i can't seem to find any reviews and i don't really need the water line, just looked cool. i really need a regulator, i think it is catching up to me now.
i don't really want to get fancy with an adjustable one. i am usually not that picky about things, just so it don't break on me is all i really care about.

I bought a household one at Homr Depot and put hose fittings on it.Its pre set at 50 psi and only cost about $40. More reliable then the camco reducer.

I am on my second regualtor in 5 years of camping with a 5er that has full hook ups. Did not need a water regualtor with our two pop-ups campers.
The water regualtor that you our looking at, is the one I am using now. My first one that I own failed do to crud in the water from the camp ground water supply. I did not want to take it apart and clean the regualtor to fix it. So when I bought my current regualtor from Camping World I bougth another one also. These are cheap and I think having a spare regualtor is safer than running the water from the camp ground supply without one.

I'm using that camping world model- after a line popped from high pressure. Get it before you have a leak.

I have a water pressure gauge that I use on my stick house as well. I also use a Y adaptor so I can flush my tanks while hooked up. Out of curiosity, I often test campground pressure, and I periodically check post-regulator pressure just to be sure it’s still working.

Had an inline reg. for ten years before it gave out. No issues with it till it just stopped passing water. Replaced it with a new one. I also use the Y connect, handy. Happy Campin.

I have that same regulator (minus the dial) that is 55psi always. I liked it better than the one for 35-40 psi because the water pressure inside was a trickle (not quite but not a good shower). I never used the hose but also looked at it to store easier. Haven't convinced myself to stop using the plain old white ones.

Pressure regulator
I started off with a Camco from CW. I was not happy with the flow and upgraded to a Watts designed for RV use. It is much better but still has flow problems unless the park supply is fairly high pressure. It is easily cleaned when waterline crud gums up the works.
The suggestion to use a household Watts unit is a good one worthy of consideration because these units are designed for higher flow rates than those designed especially for RV use. The only downside is the larger physical size.
A pressure gauge is a must to set the pressure and one with a hose thread to check campground pressure is helpful

Does anyone know how much those inline water filters you buy from Walmart, decrease the water flow or pressure? I was just curious as at the campground we stay at mostly water pressure is always lacking at best, especially during heavy holidays...

My theory is that the filter won’t impede a low flow/low pressure system that much. It’s like trying to push water through a ⅛” hole. That hole is only going to let so much water through. If you’re not trying to push much through, it’s able to accommodate the flow.
The filters are cheap enough and worth having in any case, so I think it’s worth a try to experiment with one.

I have the same one from cw. only used it once, after i had a hose rupture due to high pressure (85psi). I'll never connect to a camp ground water supply again with out one.

Water Pressure Regulator Test
After reading this thread and knowing different parks vary in pressures I decided to check out 3 different types of RV regulators. I have a commercial water pressure gauge, so this was rather easy to do. Over the years I seem to have collected several regulators and the ones I tested were made by: Marshall, Viter, & Camco. My test were done at a faucet in my barn about 700' from the house. Water pressure at that distance was 57 lbs. (at the house it was 64). The Marshall tested exactly 40 psi. The Viter was 47 psi. The Camco was 54 psi. I really don't know if any of this is relevant, but I was told that the plastic fittings in our RV's could come loose at 60+ psi. Anyhow, I hope someone can use this info. Thanks

I use the in line filter from walmart. I believe it flows 5 or 6 gpm. I hook it up behind the watts household type regulator and still have good flow and pressure.
