If the DVD is playing and the picture is on your TV, ceiling speakers should be on by default, just like they are when playing the radio. It’s the same device. Sound comes out the TV also, so I turn my TV volume all the way down. When I’m watching a TV channel, I set my Jensen stereo to AUX 1, if my memory serves me, and leave the TV volume down so I hear the TV channel’s audio through the ceiling speakers.

Be careful if you're watching something other than a "G" rated movie and have the C speaker button on. You may have neighbors that object to the "adult language" in some movies... Keep the outside speakers off, and sometimes that's hard to do if you're inside and don't realize they're on.....

I addition to turning on the speakers by pressing the "A" button you also have to turn the DVD volume to 15 or above to get sound from the "A" speakers.

Can you not use the surround sound with the tv ? If so, how do you do it. Zack

The outside speakers being on when using the alarm could also be a bad thing. Especially if ya have it set for a early wake up!

X2 on the alarm feature. Did not know about the alarm and, thanks to carrier flight deck duty as well as some time as a metal fabricator, I don't hear as well as I should. Couldn't understand why we seemed to be the center of attraction at traffic lights until we got home and heard the outside speakers blaring hip hop
