water pump

Hi Guys
summarized my 2004 Zepplin Keystone9First time for me as new to trailering and we brought the trailer already winterized

No problem flushing the anti freeze thru with a city water connection

we filled up the potable water tank but no water comes out of the taps
all valves appear to be open and the water pump is making a noise

any ideas??

If you turn on the pump, open only the cold faucets first. You may be filling the water heater and you won’t see much if any water at a faucet.

If there is a winterizing kit installed (basically a short section of hose and a valve at the pump that allows you to draw antifreeze from a bottle), the valve could be open and drawing air as opposed to water from the tank.

That has to be the culprit.

If the water pump valve is in the correct position, the fresh water tank full, and the pump runs but does not pump water then it can only be one of two possibilities. Either the pump is "sucking air" or the pump is defective. If the pump has a winterizing kit (seperate hose & valve) then put the hose in a bucket of clean water and turn the valve as if winterizing. If it pumps the water from the bucket then the line from the pump to the FW tank is sucking air.
