For the sink since it’s right under it?

That is probably your fresh water holding tank drain valve /gate valve for getting all of the water out of your tank

Probably the fresh water tank drain valve. Seems Keystone is moving away from the "capped half inch PEX tube" to a 1" or 1.5" dump valve to empty the fresh water tank.

Seems like a good deal, until you're on a dirt site and need to empty the tank. No way to avoid the muddy splash with that much water coming out at once and hitting the ground....

Reminds me of the old saying, "Like a cow "doing it" on a flat rock" .....

drain into a cup to avoid the muddy splatter? can the valve be cracked for a dribble and not a gush?

That would have to be a "helluva cup" to hold 40+ gallons of water....

Opening the valve a "crack so it dribbles" is sort of defeating the purpose of a large valve to quickly empty the tank and goes back to "does the same thing as the half inch PEX with a cap....

Yes, there's "alternatives and work around solutions" but they seem to wind up doing the same thing as the "old style drain" without the benefits of the "large hole drain".....

Just make an extension you can direct the water where you want it, then disconnect when done.

I like how quickly that would drain compared to a small tube with a little valve on the end as a drain. What I don't like is how its just hanging there. Just doesn't seem to have a lot of support going on. I don't imagine anything could hit it that far up underneath, but who knows what a rock might do.

It’s actually pretty tight. Also it’s 2x higher then the black and grey dump in the back.

If our unit had that nice gate valve I would glue in a short piece of PVC pipe and a screw togather union. On the other 1/2 of the union a short peice of pipe, and a reducer &hose bib with a length of hose. You can get 1" or 1 1/2" hose or vinyl tubing that's flexible enough to bend so you can direct the flow where desired.
