I bought the CargoLoc Tire Step on Amazon for $30 a couple of years. Works great. I have a Goose Neck coupler. Makes coupling and uncoupling a breeze. No more climbing onto the bed and crawling around. The Goose Neck pin, the safety chains and electrical plug connect from the tire step. No way I could do that from the back bumper. Entirely too far a reach.

Update as promised! My doubting hubs says he really likes it!! And I do too. It came today and it is ready to put on the tire and start climbing. No assembly required! Which is always good for one of us who hates to read directions.

Cheap and I can't forget and leave it on the tire as I drive away...

I’m probably getting one of the steps but have a new worry that I will leave it on the tire if I’m in a rush
Like the time I left my chuck key in my drill press chuck because I was switching drills multiple times in a row…that was fun..
Good sign to slow down a little

If the wife said to get them, then our opinions don't matter any more!

I'd bet like your drill key you'll notice very quickly if you leave it on the tire!

Thought I'd add a picture of the step with the Boss on it. He raised it some, there are 4 settings.

Looks good! I’d probably use it on the drivers side all the time so you don’t forget it on there like Javi suggested

Looking at that thing, I'm thinking it would sure make a racket if you do forget..

Yeah, looking at it 1) it looks nice and sturdy and 2) Brent even if you forgot looks like all it would do is just make some noise, and, if it actually stuck to the tire as you rolled along it would look like some kind of fancy spinner wheel from the 60s!!
Thanks for following up. I didn't know I wanted one but thinking I might be thinking about it.

I have one and yes it works fine on the outside dually. Have not tried it on the inside wheel; let me know how that works for you.
Problem is, I keep it in the bed of my truck and can't reach it when I need to use it.

A friend has one and uses it to get under the hood to check fluids. He also uses it for his fifth wheel. I have a two step ladder that I bought at Ace Hardware for $5.00 in the 70’s for a cab over camper. Maybe it’s time to update. I keep the ladder between the hitch and wheel well so I can reach over the side and get it.

I've had that exact one for a year now and use it alot. Quick and easy setup over outside dual. I would definitely recommend.

We just use a two step stool to get into the back. At my age I worry about falling off and breaking a hip.

I've had one for my Dually ever since I bought the 5ver in March of 2019....it's as handy as a pocket on a shirt. I store mine in the basement inbetween the left basement wall and the slide out baggage tray. It stays there without strapping it down and it is always available when I need it. I wouldn't be without one when hitching a 5ver up.
