Bathroom door is peeling

The veneer, whatever it is is peeling off the bathroom door. What kind of adhesive would be recommended to fix this.

I have used a heat gun on low. Use a fairly damp rag, get the paper warm and wipe with the rag. If that doesn’t work then a hobby paint brush and a light coat of wood glue.

That "veneer" is nothing more than heavy contact paper. It's a vinyl with adhesive on the back.

Another "sometimes easy to do" fix is to use a fluffy hand towel and a steam iron set on low. Fold the towel so there are two or four layers and drape it across the top of the door, use the iron to gently iron over the vinyl to get it warm and pliable, then push it into place with your fingers.

If you use the iron to "apply pressure in the direction of the largest gap" (iron from the good part to the loose part) often times that is all you'd need to do to get it go back into position and stick to the door structure.

Since we (actually DW) never uses ours any more, if I can find it in the laundry room pantry, I can sneak it outside to use.... Problem is trying to find it among all the bags of WalMart shopping bags, the old coats we haven't taken to Salvation Army, the extra TP and paper towels and the stock of laundry detergent, spare coat hangers, the grill rotisserie rod, the broom, swiffer, vacuum cleaner and a spare "something" that are usually in the way of finding the iron..... Oh, it's not with the ironing board, that's in the garage closet because it fell on her shoulder a couple years ago and she doesn't want it in the house any longer.....

DW uses hers so it’s off limits.

I'd use 3M spray mount, available at pretty much any hardware store. Hardest part will be masking off everyplace you don't want to get the glue on, before spraying. Stuff will hold like gangbusters, especially if you have a wallpaper roller. Be sure to clear the nozzle after use, or you'll get only one use out of the can!

Iron? Let's see here (rattling tools sound with some under breath cursing).... here it is! I got two soldering irons, one plugs into "'dem regular outlets" and one plus into da ciGAAAAR outlet. That second one takes a long time to lit my stogie so don't use it much.
