Ochloknee river state campground Fl.

Have reservations for 2 nights very peaceful and quiet . Having a little problem with our faucets. Have water to the toilet, but none to the sinks either in the bathroom 8ncluding the shower, or the kitchen sink.
Oh well, the furnace and the stove works. We will survive.
Don't remember any valves being shut when Ibwinterizedbit last fall.

Sorry to hear about the problems. Hopefully you can get them resolved shortly. Ochlockonee is a really nice park - drove by it a couple of days ago. Been in the park but never fished. Talked to a local the other day filling a propane tank and he said the fishing there was outstanding, his favorite place to go.

LOL! I winter in this area. I'm at a little place called Wildwood Country Club and RV Resort close to the junction of 319 and 98 between Crawfordville and Panacea.

Danny, do you know a Martha and Joe? They pull a Designer Suites 5th wheel with a white F350 dually. Originally from Missouri, sold their business, bought the rig and full time now, usually in the panhandle - although this winter they are in the TX gulf coast.

Bill I don't recall that I do. We meet lots of folks but we don't spend a lot of time hanging out with them like we used to. I'll keep an eye out for them though. Figure we'll be coming to this place for another year or so then the grandgirls will have sprouted wings and we'll spend less time here and more in other places.

Wow - we were just there for the last 3 days. Left at 10am this morning. We were in site #7. Such a lovely park even when it is wet and cold!

I can live with tshirt weather. I naively booked topsail for dec 13 thinking I would be snorkeling on a reef wearing a bathing suit. I always traveled to the keys in March/April no could do that. I forgot Florida is a big state and up north it’s not always warm during the winter. Bad planning on my part. Was still going to go but had a u joint problem on my TV and had to fix it..ended up with a new truck so I’m ready to go somewhere

What’s the situation with alligators in some of these inland water parks? I’ve pretty much always stuck to the keys and once at Disney as far as camping.. my wife loves to hike and kayak and paddle board. She is always off the beaten path exploring and taking pictures of nature.. something that crossed my mind when planning

In my experience there are alligators most places in the fresh water lakes, rivers etc. We go to a lake everyday taking puppy and there are signs posted to be aware of gators. I've seen them quite a few times in the lake and a few years back a visitor lost his dog while playing at the waters edge. I've not seen any at Ochlockonee park but I have no doubt they will be somewhere around. They are further down on the river so.....

As far as weather.... When my daughter and her family first moved here and we came to visit, we were thinking "Florida", like it had always been in S FL where we had gone previously. Not so. We like it though. The temps the last couple of days have gotten into the 30s at night and had frost on the truck glass this morning (gone when the sun came up) but this afternoon it was balmy, shirt sleeve weather. Going forward the lows are in the 40s and 50s so it's not bad at all. If you're up north it would have to be a TREMENDOUS improvment.

It was freezing cold here in MD the last couple of days. It would be an improvement for sure. I’m waiting for hitch parts to arrive and then get everything ready for a short trip. I will just keep an eye out for snalligators when the wife is out chasing butterflies. Lol

Amazing coincidence! Did you get your water issue sorted? It’s not the water spigot as it had good water pressure. Like others said it has to be a blockage in the line(s) somewhere. If it’s not at the faucet outlets like others suggest you may have to start digging through pipes. That would be a bummer.

Not sure if we saw you on the road. We came 98 all the way then north on 319.

This time of year you don't really have to worry about them as they are kind of slow moving. I just keep a wary eye with pup and stay 25' or so away from brushy, marshy areas next to the waters edge so one can't just jump and snatch her. Mating season is at the end of next spring so they just want you to leave them alone. Come on down - it's really enjoyable here to us and lets you get at least a tiny bit of cooler weather.

We solved the water issues, it was the screens/diffusers. Unfortunately they're not threaded in like your kitchen faucet at home, they're apparently justa plastic pieces pressed in tight fit. I might look at replacing the 2 sink faucets with something a little nicer. I imagine you can get an inexpensive house type for less than $50 for the lav faucet. Not so sure on the kitchen only had one hole that it mounts to the counter.

This is my hometown. The sprawling metropolis of Sopchoppy! It's the best of all places to raise a family. Low crime (I was a sheriff's deputy here), excellent school system, quiet and only about 33K people in the whole county. It's a well kept secret. Much to like! And yes, the fishing is great! And home to the best oysters in the world!
