Solar Panel prep ???

All, I have a 2019 240 urs with solar prep. I plan on getting a solar panel to charge my battery. Is it necessary to get the solar charge regulator? This is suppose to keep the solar panel from overcharging or back feeding the battery voltage. Can't find anything about this in the owners manual.

Short answer is yes. I have not seen any solar prep on the new models that includes the "controller" that monitors the battery state of charge and controls the solar charging circuit.

You definitely need a controller for anything substantial, something like this;

They can be found for less money...

Might not need one for 25W or less, but that is just a trickle charge IMO.
