looking at the Avalanche 386BG

I bought a "budget" "light weight" passport 2520rl to see how fulltiming would go. Been fulltiming for 2 years now and want to go ahead and get into a better model. Looking for a Toy Hauler now that I got an utv. I dont want a garage that is not going to make life difficult in the living area. I do want to stay with Keystone as I believe the workmanship is a tad better. I have been searching the Keystone website for compatible Toy Haulers. I am seriously considering the Avalanche 386BG. The utv will fit comfortably diagonally in the garage, or straight in with one end elevated. Wanted a good closet, option for washer/dryer, and straight on television.

I see the carrying capacity is 2952. Is this the total capacity of the whole RV, or does the garage have a separate capacity? The utv i have is 1k empty, and my extras come close to filling the rest.

I started out as so many people have with an under powered TV, and had to continually upgrade. I now can handle anything in the RV world I believe.

I cannot for the life of me find an Avalanche 386BG on rvtrader or from any of the suggested dealerships from keystone. It must be a popular th model.

your sig says an F150 with ecoboost. Im not sure but I would be willing to be that it couldn't handle a triple axle 43 foot TH. Might want to change your sig.

GVWR for any trailer includes all the cargo you can put in it.

Good deal. Now that you know the UTV will take a majority of the CCC of the avalanche, do you still want one?

Being a double axle, the cargo capacity is going to be low. You will want to find 1 on a lot first with all the features you want and see what the yellow sticker says for CCC. Don't rely on the published number on their site. Options like generator, LP, battery, 3 season door, happy jack system and more will eat into that number.

Did you look at the numbers? Based on their website I'm shocked to see how small the fresh and black tanks are. If you are going to use this at full hook-up sites then you are fine. But if you go for a weekend with no hook up those are very small tanks.

I noticed the weights listed were odd. Triple axle RV, dry weight of around 13.5k lbs but CCC just shy of 3.5k lbs.

I guess the price may be good for this unit, but if you like this layout you should look at the Grand Design Momentum 376TH. It is a little more, but it has so many small things that are just more well thought out. Like your pull handles for the tanks are in the wet Bay, not the fender well behind a tire, Hydrologic Jack's instead of Electrical and so on.
