Fusion TEIII Matress - Foundation to small

Hello all MY fusion TEIII has about 4 inches of mattress hanging over the foundation almost as if the cut the wood to small. It was also supposed to have a space foam mattress and this one seems to have springs.

Has anyone else had this issue ? Thoughts I may just add some new plywood over the existing one.

It sounds to me as if you have a Queen mattress on a "Queen Short" base. If you are tall this could be a good thing. It is better to have the mattress hang over a little than to have your feet dangling all night. Measure the mattress .. if it is 80" long, this is the case. We replaced our "Queen Short" with a Queen for this reason have no problems with the little that hangs over. Some day I may extend the platform. Maybe Mañana. Hank

I have a Raptor 365LEV and my bed base is exactly the same. I added it to my punch list and after taking it in for service and warranty fixes, they came back and said it was designed like that. They were getting complaints of people banging their knees and shins on the longer base, so they shortened it. It was only shortened on the 2 sides that would be the most prone to this.
