GMC Sierra 3500HD

Questions, questions....
We are really looking for someone who has a Sierra short box, single rear wheel. Would like to talk to them...soon.....

Wife and I fell in love with the 2018 Denali....of course the higher priced model. Go figure.

Would like to know about the hitch as well as the truck in general. MPG, pulling, etc.

Which engine is in the Sierra? Trailer weight and type will impact mileage some.

Get 10.5 to 9.5 mpg with a diesel.

Our rig:
Shipping Weight: 11,530
Carrying Capacity: 3,470
Hitch: 2275

CAT Scale data:
Steer Axle 4,900
Drive Axle 6,580
Trailer Axle 10,500
Gross Weight 21,980

Added air bags to ours to improve the towing and ride. I have a long box Vs short box - so I don't need a slider hitch.

Hopefully if planning to tow you got/will get the Duramax/Allison, in my opinion you will have the best of both, tried & true tested combination. Mines 5 years old long bed dually dragging a 16.5k 5er for approximately 60k+ miles so far averaging 8.5-10.5 mpg towing at 65-68 mph. The newer ones have more torque & horsepower, quieter, & better ride than mine. Depending on the rv you plan to get you may not need the slider with the short bed, most newer 5ers are designed to be able to turn 88+ degrees without the slider. I've got several friends towing the same brand/same weight as mine with SRW short bed 3500s, a couple with sliders, several without & have had no issues to date.

I have 18 3500 denail . I dont when GM started the bed change but the 3500 only comes with standard bed 7 ft let's me turn at a right angle . The 1/2 comes with the short or standard and to get 8 ft bed you would have to buy the single cab. I up graded from 12 2500 short bed to 3500 standard bed that was the big releaf not having to watch the truck bed wile turning.
