Water hum

Hello - camping in santee lakes, ca near San Diego for a few days, which BTW is really nice - but hearing a hum from our electric water heater. Is this normal? When we turn off the switches the hum stops. Everything works fine, but don't remember hearing this, it doesn't sound all the time.
Thanks and if you are planning to visit e San Diego area, this is a great spot!

I just take my hearing aids out, that pretty much fixes any humming noises I may have heard. Sorry don't have much for you on this one. The electrics in the water heater is just a heating element. There is a small circuit board, have you checked to see if the hum is coming from that?

I had the hum issue when water Heater on electric. It happened once on the maiden voyage in my last fiver. Only did it once and never again. May have had something to do with air bubbles or the check valve in the heater. In wouldn't worry about it unless it persists.

I've never heard a hum from my water heater. I use electric 95% of the time.

I suggest you open the outside cover and see if you can zero in on the source of the noise.

Enjoy Santee! It almost always gets stellar reviews on campgroundreviews.com.
