which is the best power converter

and im guessing it isn't wfco. I have burned out my second 9875 wfco power converter. we have the extended warranty and it has a 250.00 deductible. so I am pretty much on my own. I think it is a 3 stage. would it be best to go 4 stage and most importantly what brand? also im thinking about going 100 amp instead of 75. any input would be appreciated

If I was in your situation, I would call http://www.bestconverter.com/ and talk to a person that deals with converters to give the best alternatives.

Progressive dynamics is what I used to replace the one on my old camper. It had a Wfco. That burn up. They are made in the US. They are very good and make a kit that you can adapt to the Wfco units. And for any dry campers out there that can't run a generator but a couple hours a day. It has a boost mode to help charge faster. It also has other modes.

I had a Progressive Dynamics with the Charge Wizard a couple of rigs ago, really liked it and it took care of my batteries really well. Barely had to add water to them on occasion.

I got mine from tweetys.com. Very good company. They had the best prices. On converters.

got er ordered

I looked for the answer does the pd9280 come with the pendant pd92201? I checked the web some reviews said yes, most indicated it was optional??. I wound up with a company one state over (Adventure Rv Center) in Sevierville TN. it was 10.95 so what the heck. their price 202.89 plus the 10.95 plus shipping total 231.05. thank God no more WFCO. this was the second converter to go out in 3 years 2 months.

Yes, the 9200 series are built in charge wizard so come with the pendant. I believe the PD's are the best because of the charge wizard. It's the only converter I'm aware of you can force into bulk mode for a quick generator charge. I only wish it had a jumper to select boost mode voltage. Temp compensate would be asking too much.

And it's very simple to install. And just do one 12volt circuit at a time. It will take ya about 30/40 mins once ya get it all out and ready to start.

i figured it wouldnt be a problem

electrical is one of my favorite things. the progressive industries surge/ high/low voltage protector that I installed last year was not that hard its just getting my big a.. in some of those tiny compartments. lol note I guess I will video this episode of how to improve what should have been from the beginning.
