Eaz-lift

A friend gaves us her eaz-lift WDH and a sway bar. Looking at the spring bars today, I see that are marked like this

750 lbs
MVHC
10,000 lb
V-5
750

and here is the info to determine by eaz-lift
http://www.eaz-lift.com/eazlift/products/determine.html

Looking at my trailer specs of empty 6106 and max full 7675. Hitch weight on my F250 is 1000 lbs. Looks to me that this WDH isn't going to work?

Thanks!

I'm starting to feel like I did when I had my sailboat. there was a hole in it that I just kept throwing money into.

The hitch will work but you will need 1200 lb bars

Cheer up...... the hole will eventually get smaller and the $$$ flow will slow down. But keep some $$$ on hand --- just in case.

eaz-lift goes from 1000 to 1400 lb bars. Cost is around $90 each and the whole set up on Amazon is like $220 for everything plus free shipping. I assume the 1400 would be better than the 1000? I feel like I'm in the movie "The Money Pit" Actually just kidding. I can afford a good WDH and don't want to scrimp on safety.

Thanks!

Looking at the equalizer hitch, after inputing my TT info it was suggested this hitch would be the one http://www.equalizerhitch.com/About%...es.php#results The info input was TT weight gross 7675 and tongue weight of 675. it is a 1000 hitch and looks almost like the eaz-lift hitch at 1000. Now I'm totally confused. The equalizer is about twice the cost of the eaz-lift. Is there really that big a difference between the two?

Andy I use an Eaz-Lift hitch and it is just as good as any other unless you want built in sway control like the Equalizer, or some of the Reese products ect...

1400 lb bars will work just fine for your setup...

Thanks Javi! I was also thinking the 1400 would be a better choice and affordable as I already have a Husky sway bar.
