Volta Power Systems

Has anyone seen these power supplies used in lieu of a generator? Interesting.

Post #4 in the thread located here: https://www.irv2.com/forums/f84/rese...ms-523519.html addresses the volta system. The post is written by a RVer who actually has the system in his RV. He says the cost is somewhere between 20K and 30K to convert, but also lists some of the pro's and con's to the system that he has experienced.

Quite pricey, and for most Keystone RVers, likely to cost somewhere between half as much as their RV to "more than the RV cost"... So.......

Wow! I just read through it and can't seem to see the value as we probably won't do a lot of boondocking.

The Changing Lanes RV folks are getting one installed in their new build, allegedly, but I didn't know what it was about. The Volta website is as vague as the information from Volta that was mentioned on the post. Thanks.

To some extent, more or less, don't most of us already have some form of this capability?
Very expensive and hard to cost justify for the number of trips/days we spend dry camping when what we have serves us quite well.
To each their own but I think I'll pass.

It's "standard equipment" in that all electric Bowlus Volterra (a mere $300K)...

https://bowlus.com/volterra/

And the system can be used to provide power for your Tesla to recharge the vehicle battery. Using that capability will add another 27 miles to the Tesla range.... Well worth the 20-30K for a "lithium generator/inverter system"

That thing looks too shiny to drive down the road. The sun reflection alone will burn eyeballs. I like the tech, not a fan of the rig.
