AC or thermostat
My tt has a duo therm ac unit and a dometic analog thermostat, if I turn my ac on it runs normally and blows cold air, after a few minutes the fan will shut off but the compressor stays running, after a few seconds the fan starts back up and runs normally the rest of the cycle. The rest of the day it works normally unless you shut off the air conditioner for several hours, I'm leaning towards the thermostat but I don't want to just throw parts at it without getting some feedback, hopefully someone else has had the same issue

What year, make and model is your trailer? Which Dometic thermostat do you have? Is it the capacitive touch? If you don't know just post a pic of it.

What you describe "MAY" be normal operation. The fan is a 2 speed fan, HI is 1300 RPM and LOW is 1100 RPM. It's difficult with the noise of the air conditioner to actually "discern the difference in fan speed" unless you're very focused on listening. To the average person, both speeds "sound the same"...
That said, the thermostat/air conditioner, when the fan is set to AUTO, will vary the fan speed depending on the difference between the set temperature and the sensed temperature on the thermostat. When the "special feature" is working properly, the fan will stop, compressor will continue to run, and the fan will then turn back on at the different speed. It may cycle on/off multiple times if the trailer temperature goes down with fan on high, and as it gets to the "set point limit" change speed, the temperature starts climbing and it recycles again. It may do this all day or it may not, depending on the outside temperature, how much heat gain is in the trailer and multiple other factors.
Here's the statement from the Dometic thermostat manual:

I wondered if you had the capacitive touch thermostat as they have caused many problems. You don't have that. What you describe is the normal operation for that setup. You can install an aftermarket thermostat that works differently but doesn't sound like there is anything wrong with yours. Have an A/C in my bedroom with a regular thermostat that wakes me up every time it goes through that little cycle.

Ok thanks for the info, I just assumed something wasn't working right, strange to hear the blower shut off for a few seconds with the compressor humming away

Normal operation with the thermostat you have in that photo. Mine is the same and it's been "working for 6 or 7 years"...
