What year and model trailer? It could be any number of things, what year truck and does it have integrated brake control?

Pastor Ray, go to the UserCP button and click and find the signature maker and make a signature with year, make and model of camper and tow vehicle as well. Makes answering your questions with context a lot easier. Welcome to the forum.

If you do not have a trailer connector tester then I would try your truck on a neighbor or friends trailer and see if you get the same message..or have a friend plug into your trailer and see if they get a error
