How to test TV signal booster?
While watching OTA television I suddenly lost all channels. I suspect the signal booster went out. The green light still illuminates but I have no idea how to test it. It is King brand. Any suggestions other than just replacing?

The button for the OTA antenna is not a “booster”.. it just sends 12 volts DC up to the roof OTA antenna… you need to verify you actually have 12 volts DC present up on the roof at the antenna head..
It has a preamplifier inside the head that requires 12 volts DC to work

Thanks Chuck, ii will check that. Is it accessed from inside the camper or on the roof?

If you have a short coax, you can check at the booster.
If you take the screws out and pull out the booster, you will see the inputs for ANT and CABLE. Using the short coax, remove the antenna coax and attach the “test” coax. A Volt/Ohm meter set to DC volts: negative lead to the barrel connector and the positive lead to the center “signal” wire.

Thanks, I will give that a try. I do this inside the camper, right?

Yes. It will verify the booster is producing 12VDC for the antenna. It doesn’t verify 12VDC AT THE ANTENNA, but it rules out the booster.

If you have 12 volts DC coming from coax at inside power button then you can “assume” that 12 volts is being passed up thru the OEM coax to the roof via the power inserter at the switch.
Only way to gain access to other end of coax at the antenna itself is to remove the antenna base on the roof to have access to other end of coax..
See image
Link is for the install manual and also shows wiring diagram to help you better understand how 12 volts is inserted along the coax cable up the the roof OTA antenna built in pre amplifier
