This Newbee needs some input.
I have a 2019 Passport 2210rbwe, with factory installed 15" wheels & tires.
I changed to Goodyear Endurance tires and added TPMS and Fussion 3 camera system for our current trip.
My issue is that after 3 trips ( approx 11,000 miles ) the TT has tire scuff marks in the exterior liner of the subfloor.
Tire to flooring clearance is 2.5"
Scaling weight: steering axle 4560#, drive axle 4880# and trailer axle 5320#
total weight 14760
Tow vechicle is F250 2018 6.7 diesel
The Wife and I really like the equipment setup.
ANY INPUT WOULD BE APPRECIATED, THANKS

Are the Goodyear tires a taller tire? Larger diameter?…what kind of roads have you traveled ? Any bumpy dirt roads or boondocking?

How do the axles look? There should be a slight upward bow in them. I had the same wheel well rub marks you describe, eventually leading to a blowout. The cause was determined to bent axles. The trailer was not close to being overloaded. I did hit a really bad stretch of interstate in Indiana, with some bone jarring conditions, the day before the incident. I believe this was the culprit.

Side note - All setups are different, but that 2.5" gap doesn't sound too bad....the difference I had between the top of my tire and the top of the wheel well was down to about an inch with the bent axle. After repair, I'm at about 3".

Thanks Jason,
New tires are 15"; Travel is all interstate and campground overnight sights.
Worst roads were California 99 and Interstate 40
Best roads were State routes

First, What was the actual OEM tire size and what size were/are the replacement tires?

According to what I see on the Carlisle ST tire website, here's the specified tire diameters for the Radial Trail HD tires:

205 75R15 LRD 27.1300 inch diameter
225 75R15 LRD 28.3100 inch diameter
225 75R15 LRE 27.1300 inch diameter

Granted, there's not a lot of "radius increase" between the tire sizes, but the approximate 1/2" extra tire radius could be the difference between rubbing 1/8" and missing 3/8".....

So, it's entirely possible that Endurance tires also have some physical differences in measurements as do Carlisle tires. Are the tires you installed the same physical size as the ones you removed? Different brands often have "slightly different physical sizes" and that could mean the difference between wheelwell damage and wheelwell clearance.....

OP are you sure 15" wheels came from the factory? I thought that was a pretty small trailer to have 15s as OE and when I pulled up rvusa they show 14s as OE. They do all sorts of things when building these things but might be something - have you owned it since new?

from the dealers lot the new TT came with 205 75 r15 Trailer King tires and alum. wheels.
My bill of lading shows the alum. wheels as an add on, I ASSUME from the factory.
I checked the rubbing out with a RV repair shop outside Atlanta this week, and his research found that my unit was built for east and west coast sales, east coast got the 14" tires and the west coast got 15" tires. But the west coast tire (15") set up did not change the shackles or leaf springs

The RV repair shop must have had an idea about the problem, can you share what the opinion the person had to as why the tire marks happened.

The difference in diameter between the 205/75r14 and 205/75r15 is a smidge over an inch meaning a 1/2" additional height at the top. Would that difference be causing the scuff?
