Replace omnidirectional tv antenna
Just had rotator cuff surgery so I will not be doing work. Nephew will be doing work and I'm trying to get info to make it go smooth. What kind of material should I use on roof under base of antenna? Is cable that runs from antenna to power booster fastened to studs in roof? The reason I ask that is because new antenna has separate cable for radio and I'm sure there is not one there now. Any suggestions how to get radio cable from antenna back to radio? Thanks

Which antenna are you installing. Usually there is a single coax lead from the antenna that goes to the booster. The back of the booster will have coax connections that are labeled.

I didn’t see any information on how many coax leads it has. I have seen some units that have the radio antenna going to the roof and a splitter being used.
You can use butyl tape under the base and then cover the edge and screws with Dicor self leveling.

Do you know if your radio antenna lead goes to the antenna or the booster?

I'm not sure about existing from tv antenna to booster. From radio was never hooked up. Was just laying unattached to anything near booster

If the radio has the common plug in type of antenna there is a connector to allow you to use the standard tv coax.

So I can connect a splitter with the 2 leads coming out of tv antenna to the coax in camper ? Then hook another splitter to one of tv outs on booster then to radio?

If the TV antenna has two coax leads, then one is for the radio and the other is for the booster, no need for a splitter.
