Yes you should be able to remove both and even reverse the side that opens on most. Make sure you have two men and a boy to help as they are very heavy. (awkward to handle) Usually just need a screwdriver and a thin pry-bar to lift it out of the track. Look in the packet of manuals that came with the trailer there may be instructions on dis assembly.
