Bed Frame Bracing

Just swapped out a trailer queen to a regular queen in my Outback 312bh. It hangs over thee plywood board by about 7". Should I extend the plywood board and brace it and if so any suggestions on how? I still will need to be able open to lift the board for the under bed storage.

I would. If you don't the mattress will want to work it's way off the platform and leave a gap at the headboard. Some of us here have opened the sides under the bed so you don't need to lift the bed. If someone doesn't post some pics I'll take some tomorrow.

yes extend it. your mattress will sag over time, and you might sit on the end and fall... I did the same to mine, put regular queen. I bought two pieces plywood and cut to fit new total size. for the extra length I cut another piece of plywood same thickness as factory one for under side to even thins out. then I took some 1x4 pieces and screwed them on the end for added support and to join the added length section, glued and screwed everything. lastly due to added weight I installed two lift shocks. works like charm, and way more sturdy than factory. I even added vertical supports under frame.
