Question Dometic DM2652LBX Fridge, heater element failed, help

I diagnosed the problem as open heater element, got one on order but can't figure out how I disassemble the flue to get at it, I started unhinging the sheet metal outside cover but thought better of it till I get the new element, I need the fridge working on gas till then and don't want to get to involved right now.

Has anyone changed one in this model DM2652LBX? Advice? Here is a photo of the units guts showing the flue and element poking out.

Thanks Ray

here is what the element looks like on its own
