For septic I'll have a perc test done sometime in the near future and install a real system. I'll use that for a cabin eventually anyway.

I'm not one to usually buy any extended warranty BS. Prob won't this time either.

In addition to the delivery check out upon arrival, the dealer has scheduled a virtual walk through call and I also have a local dealer I've already met while I've been looking for an RV. Hope to not have to use them, but I'm sure I will at some point.
If you can't do an in-person walk through and inspection prior to purchase, suggest that there are mobile rv techs who do specifically that service and will write a detailed report on what things need to be addressed before you consumate the deal. Might not be a bad idea even if you can be there as they will see things most of won't.

Joe don't think about the trailer being free and you have to make appropriations for various issues. Make sure everything is checked and walked through - makes no difference if it was granted to you for free or not.

Well, guess you need to fix that signature! It is no longer "on the way". Next thing is to get up on the roof and go over the roof with a fine tooth comb to ensure you are not going to have a leak. The flashing for the front and rear are likely culprits and Dicor is your friend. I don't trust even a new camper to have the roof sealed well. Water damage is your enemy. Since you seem to live in the moderate temps of Hotlanta, start looking at tips for making sure your cooling inside is optimized. Lots of threads on this subject and I myself have taken virtually every step to keep temps in the 70s in the camper on triple digit sunny days. If you plan on ever parking in your driveway, install a dedicated 30A RV outlet near the parking spot. You are on your way and looking good!

GeoJoe George is right. Check that roof out right away. I did on this one and it had some locations that had cracks, pinholes etc. 3 sides of the skylight looked like a pro did them and the 4th side looked like a blind person did it with an empty tube of dicor.

I am sure you will enjoy your new camper and folks will have all sorts of advice. Go slow on buying stuff that seems like a good idea but gets put in the pass through storage and never seen again. We all do that. Did they get your camper perfectly level? I have a fifth wheel and the rocker switch that controls the landing gear is on the front and driver's side. I have gotten pretty good at putting the necessary cribbing under one of the two legs to get the trailer level side to side using stick on bubble levels. Other folks level different ways but the bubble levels work for me. Have on on the front for side to side which is taken care of by the landing gear then have one immediately on the side adjacent to front to back level. I have scissors jacks in the rear for stability and don't attempt leveling with those only so the trailer doesn't rock when set up. Good luck!
