On 120v plug in everything if fine, but when are on battery the interior light wont't work. the three terminals on the right stay hot, but the ones on the left, running to the light are dead, but as said, they are hot with 12v dc when the 120ac/converter is plugged in. Help ???

More than likely the converter is bad. It has a relay that switches between battery and converter 12V when plugged into shore power. Your converter, if original, should be enlaced. The newer converters use 3-stage smart charging technology and won't cook your batteries.
