Smart Shunt Cougar 25RDS

Checked on trailer in storage and the smart shunt doesn't show up on the victron app. The solar controller does so I'm thinking maybe the control wire came loose or the smart shunt has an issue.

It was too cold to do much - anyone know where the shunt is mounted, it wasn't obvious around the batteries?

Yup, it was there all summer and my phone still remembers the blue tooth connection. Something is causing the smart shunt to not talk blue tooth and I was hoping someone could point me to where it's mounted.

I have to assume it would be mounted very close to your battery.

The one on my 5th wheel is right there in the front compartment with the batteries.

Follow the negative cable from the battery back to the shunt.
It won't be very far away.

I am having a similar problem. We’re you able to locate the Shunt? We have a 22MLS, I believe the Shunt must be located in the Box with the switch that controls the power to the inverter. I need to find it to get the PUK number to reset the Bluetooth.

Haven't found it yet - trailer is in cold storage, literally. I did look inside the storage cabinet that holds the charge controller and inverter and didn't see it. Will do some digging when I can.

Follow the negative wire from the battery. It shouldn’t be in a box, but mounted to the wall

I guess I am going to take the cover off of the box that turns on/off the inverter on my cougar 2023 24SABWE. I am pretty sure it is not in the giggy box (located under the left passthrough door). The giggy box has the switch that shuts off all battery power, and I have seen diagrams of its insides and there is no smart shunt inside it. So, I am guessing that it might be in the box up near the batteries that turns on/off the inverter. I will take off that box cover tomorrow and find out...

Damn. Just typed up a reply and lost it somehow.

Shunt is located in the box containing the inverter shut off. On our rig this is almost dead center of the front cap on the bottom behind the battery boxes.

Some quick notes
1j as you know the shunt has a limited range. I have to be within 5 feet of it to pick up the signal. Did you network the shunt with the solar controller? Can it still see the shunt?
2) the original shunts were not water proof at all. If water fills the box Thru loose water tight connectors it will destroy the Bluetooth circuit board. The newer IP65 rated shunts do better. Ours got flooded during a pre delivery washing ….
3) once you get access check the in-line fuse on the thin power line. It may have blown.
