No worries friend! He was just pointing out its best to start your own thread when posting your new member welcome.
It’s socially acceptable to comment on a thread and redirect or segway into another question as long as the original ops question has been answered or if your new question somehow adds to the general conversation or discussion.
If someone is talking about air conditioning problems and you ask about improving airflow or if a 2nd ac unit is a good idea then that IMO is acceptable.
If you start talking about problems with your truck during this conversation then it’s best to start a new thread.
And sometimes I find it really interesting when threads develop into something completely different and enlightening that have nothing to do with the original thought or question…..again as long as the ops question was answered it’s all good in my book..
The members here have provided me with endless hours of thought provoking and interesting/funny posts…. I rarely get anything done during the day anymore thanks to that
