Go to meal while camping

What’s one meal that you always have when camping?
Ours is Mock Tacos for dinner. A bed of Fritos chips, followed by cooked ground round, topped with Mexican shredded cheese, chopped lettuce, chopped onions, a little guacamole and sour cream (but no tomatoes for me as I hate tomatoes). Top off with taco sauce. We’ve served this meal one night always while camping since I was a kid in the 60’s. Guess it was because it was easy for my mom to make and it was a spin on regular tacos.

Rick, I'm guessing that is your family's take on the world famous (?) Frito Pie.

What camping trip would be complete without it? Just no chili w/beans. And if someone suggests black beans then drive them from the premises.

Yeah, that seems to be pretty close to it, but we don’t use the bag as one of the fixins. Wonder how that tastes?

Skillet breakfast from a cast iron skillet. Potatoes, peppers, onion, mushrooms and whatever meat is left.

The ONE meal?!! We've got several of the "one meals" we always have. Other than steak; fried potatoes, onions W/garlic, chopped jalapenos and smoked german sausage rolled into a tortilla slathered with some homemade hot sauce; or the basic eggs, hashbrowns, bacon and toast on the flattop or.....

Train Wreck (one pot) hash browns, ground sausage, eggs, peppers, onions and any other seasonings to taste all cooked/mixed together. I put salsa on it and can also be wrapped in a tortilla shell for a breakfast burrito. I usually make it in an electric frying pan. Great anytime meal...……….

Don't have just one go to.... but we love to fire up the gas grill and throw 1 or 2 whole chickens on there (depending on many we are feeding). Cook for about an hour and a half, turning once or twice. Crazy good.
